This mycomedicinal is a pinnacle adaptogen and regarded as a superior Qi tonic. It is well researched and known as a source of phytonutrients that have immune modulating, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, blood pressure & cholesterol balancing, adrenal & hepato-protective qualities.

It is known as the ‘King of Medicinal Mushrooms’.

Ingredients: Inonotus obliquus

The Native American tribe of Gitksan of British Columbia called it didihuxw and used the burning fungus to relieve rheumatic pain (much like the Chinese burn mugwort as moxibustion).

It has been used in Western Siberia to treat tuberculosis, liver disease, worms and stomach problems. Recent studies have shown significant benefits in treating Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Chaga is regarded as a significant blood purifier, tonic, pain reliever and traditionally used to treats ulcers and gastritis. The Russians have used Chaga for various cancers since the sixteenth century.

Chaga inhibits oxidative stress and has been proven to suppress the growth of tumours. Inotodiol (found to be one of the most active ingredients in Chaga) was able to destroy 100 percent of Walker 256 carcinosarcoma cells in MCF-7 human adenocarcinoma mammary cells (Park, Y.K. et al. 2004).

Chaga contains several immune stimulating polysaccharides, significant anti-inflammatory properties and remarkable anti-oxidant activity.
